The application of ZINGA on the pier legs at Killybegs Harbour was done in the summer of 2000.

The customer, the Irish Department of Marine and Natural Resources, and the contractor, SAR Marine & General, waited a full year before giving any official comment on the performance of the ZINGA coating.

Based on regular controls, they confirmed that the ZINGA is performing very well.

Project Description

The Akosombo Dam (also referred to as the Akosombo Hydroelectric Project), is a hydroelectric dam on the Volta River in southeastern Ghana in the Akosombo gorge and part of the Volta River Authority.

In 2012 the application on 10.000 m² of the Zingametall coatings started following the approval in 2010.

The penstocks were coated in duplex system tested according ISO 12944:

This floating crude-oil storage tank is located in an area called Fawley, one of Esso’s biggest refineries in the United Kingdom, which is actually south of Southampton on the south coast of England. On the pictures you can see the roof of an floating crude-oil storage tank project of Exxon Mobil, the photos show the true scale of the project.

The Burdekin Bridge (known as the Silver Link) protected by ZINGA Galvanising spans the Burdekin River between the towns of Ayr and Home Hill, Queensland, Australia. Located on the Bruce Highway which is part of Highway 1, it is an important link in the national road network.

Project Description

The power station of Langerlo was built in 1976, with two units powered by fuel oil. In 1986, the power station was converted to a coal power station, due to its proximity to the coal mines located in Genk. Since mining activity in Belgium declined and ceased in 1992 with the closing of the last mine in Zolder, the power station in Langerlo remained the last one driven by coal. In 1997 and 1999 the power station was enlarged. In 1999 the fume and gas purification was expanded and 2 gas turbines were built. Today the power station has a capacity of 556 MW, driven by a mix of coal, biomass(pellets) and gas.

Alcoa LTD is a worldwide producer of, among others, aluminium. One of the places where they produce aluminium is Point Henry in Australia. Because this production takes up a lot of energy, they produce it themselves in a power plant running on coal in Anglesea, Australia. ZINGA has been used on water trays that are placed at the inside of cooling towers. This application took place in Anglesea.

The treatment of the El Salaam Bridge in Egypt, was part of the Bridge Maintenance Program in 2007. This bridge carries a gas pipeline of the Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO). The bridge had suffered severe corrosion.

Pictures of the Teatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro. The iron roof and the ornaments above the entrance have been treated with ZINGA. The theatre is a copy of the Opera in Paris. The lean-off roof above the box-office was heavily corroded and therefore very unsafe for the public

The Kouter is a square in the center of the Flemish city of Ghent. Older names for this square are “Paardenmarkt”, and “Place d’Armes”. In 2011, the construction of a new Waste-to-Energy facility was started. This project ‘Runcorn II’ should be finished in 2014/2015.

In 1998 the company ‘Pacific Elevators LTD’ decided to refurbish their grain elevator in Vancouver.
After consulting with the consulting engineers from ‘Villholth Jensen and associates’ it was decided that ZINGA would be used on the 200 ton structure.

The railway company Dorbras was looking for a solution for the oxidation on the metal plates that are used for the fixation of rails onto the crossbeams. In April 1999 approx. 45000 zinganised fixation plates were installed.

The Beijing National Aquatics Center, also officially known as the National Aquatics Center,and colloquially known as the Water Cube, is an aquatics center that was built alongside Beijing National Stadium in the Olympic Green for the swimming competitions of the 2008 Summer Olympics. Despite its nickname, the building is not an actual cube, but a  cuboid (a rectangular box).

Since 2006, 4 huge storage tanks for hydrocarbon products that are property of Shell have been repaired using a system based on ZINGA.

The biggest of these storage tanks measured 16 meters in height and 20 meters in diameter and has been repaired in November 2007. This storage tank (together with another one that was treated in August 2006) is located in Mohammedia.
