Dorbras Railway Fixation Plates
Project Description
The railway company Dorbras was looking for a solution for the oxidation on the metal plates that are used for the fixation of rails onto the crossbeams. In April 1999 approx. 45000 zinganised fixation plates were installed.
A layer of 80 μm ZINGA was applied with a spraying gun. These plates are constantly in contact with the concrete block at the end of each crossbeam and are slightly shaken each time a train passes on the tracks.
On 01/01/00 Zingametall received a certificate of delivery issued by the company Dorbras, stating that
these fixing plates show no trace of rust after a period of 8 months.
